Lian Hammer Dumas is a Director of Photography, filmworker, designer, and educator. He holds a degree in Multimedia Arts from the De La Salle – College of Saint Benilde. Lian is a teacher of Film Theory, Art Studies and History, Cinematography, and Photography at Benilde and CIIT.
He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Film at the University of the Philippines–Diliman, where he continues to shape his cinematic voice, refining his sensibilities in light, composition, and narrative taste. He trained under the guidance of master Filipino cinematographers.
His advocacy for cinema (and) education extends to speaking engagements and workshops across academic institutions, where he shares his perspective and experiences about life, cinema, and art.
Currently, Lian is actively involved in various local film sets, commercial campaigns, music videos, TV Series, and Documentaries as part of the camera and lighting department.
